Gillespie Bass Club

Due to the 4th of July Holiday, we are moving the meeting date to Monday, July 10th.

On June 18th, the Gillespie Bass Club fished their 8th tournament of the season on Jacksonville Lake. The off and on rain and clear water didn’t seem to affect the fishing! The results are as follows:

1st, Mark Stieren, 5 fish, 14.78 lbs.
2nd, Dave Blevins, 5 fish, 13.33 lbs.
3rd, Chad Satterlee, 5 fish, 12.93 lbs.
Big Bass, Greg Eccher, 5.21 lbs.

22 fisherman, 18 weighed in 60 fish for a total weight of 160.26 lbs.

Was told that there is about 7-10 mile detour off of 267. If your going this way, allow yourself about 15 extra minutes. The detour is well marked and the roads are good. It will take you towards Murryville and then into Jacksonville and the back way to the lake.

June 5th the Gillespie Bass Club welcomed 4 members to the club. Former member Marty Derganc is back with us! Also taking in 3 new faces to the roster, Brad Genetti from Gillespie and Roger Large and Jeff Whitfield both from Staunton. Once againm welcome to the club!

Just a reminder that we drew for two tournaments at the previous meeting. June 18th, Jacksonville and July 2nd, Hillsboro.

2nd, Dave Blevins, 3 fish, 7.96 lbs.
3rd, Bob Fulton Jr, 3 fish, 7.72 lbs.
Big Bass, Butch Emery, 3.93 lbs.
