Gillespie Bass Club

On September 9th, the Gillespie Bass Club traveled to Taylorville lake to participate in their 9th tournament of the season. Fisherman were greeted with a heavy fog apon arrival to the lake, making for an interesting take-off. Boats were sent out at idle speed and with caution until the fog lifted. Those who didn’t travel far seemed to find the fish! The winners are as follows:

1st, Gus Viehweg, 3 fish, 9.98 lbs.
2nd, Jerry Tilley, 2 fish, 7.66 lbs.
3rd, Matt Stieren, 3 fish, 6.89 lbs.
Big Bass, Jerry Tilley, 5.78 lbs.

On August 19, 2007, the families and friends of the Gillespie Bass Club, held their annual Jr/Sr tournament on Litchfield Lake. First off the club would like to thank all of those who were able to come out and enjoy the event. A great amount of thanks goes out to all who helped work and plan this great event. Once again we had a great tournament! The kids did so well, we think they caught almost every fish in the lake! Every kid was a winner on this day, but lets look at who took the top three spots!

1st Place went to Brock Fredericks. 24.07 lbs.
2nd Place went to Ashley Masiero. 13.89 lbs.
3rd Place went to Brenna Halteman. 8.66 lbs.

Once again, congratulations goes out to all of the kids and their families!
