Bloemker kicks off season with win at Coffeen!
On March 15, 2009, the Gillespie Bass Club held their first tournament of the season on well known Coffeen Lake. Water temps ranging in the 50-60’s made for some good early season action. Although it was not one of our better tournaments at Coffeen, the number of just shy keeper size fish caught made the day enjoyable. It is no wonder why they call this lake a fish factory. The winners are as follows:
1st, Donnie Bloemker, 3 fish, 9.49 lbs.
2nd, Brad Genetti, 3 fish, 7.69 lbs.
3rd, Mike Grejtak, 3 fish, 7.43 lbs.
Big Bass, Donnie Bloemker, 5.16 lbs.
34 anglers participated with 27 weighing in 63 fish for a total weight of 135.97 lbs.
