Gillespie Bass Club

Angler of the year. Its the award that is given to the angler who compiled the most points in regular club tournaments through out the year. Its not about the most weight or number of fish an angler catches, its consistency. Mike was consistent in catching fish in every single tournament this year. Mike even finished off the year by winning the clubs top ten fish off. Its not an easy task. So when you see Mike, make sure and congratulate him! Once again, congratulations Mike Grejtak.

On September 27, 2009, the Gillespie Bass Club ended their regular season tournament play on Hillsboro Lake. Fishing was tough on this well known lake, but not for veteran club member Nelson Marasti!
The winners are as follows:
1st, Nelson Marasti, 3 fish, 6.87 lbs.
2nd, Mike Grejtak, 1 fish, 5.84 lbs.
3rd, Gus Viehweg, 2 fish, 4.67 lbs.
Big Bass, Mike Grejtak, 5.84 lbs.

Due to the recent Holiday, the clubs regular scheduled meeting will be held Monday, September 14th, 2009 at Crawdaddies tavern. As always if the regular scheduled meeting happens to fall on a holiday, the meeting will be held the following Monday unless stated otherwise.

His/Her tournament: The event coordinator will be contacting everyone that has not RSVP since the last meeting. The tournament is now at Gillespie New Lake and the same tournament hours apply.
